Abstract
I create pictures because of their power to express feelings and ideas, and their ability to explore unknown territories both inwardly and outwardly; but more importantly, because of their power to seduce. The ‘willingness’ of paintings and drawings to be transformed in light and matter is what I look for in order to establish a deeper connection between my pictures and the audience’s memories and feelings. Creating a picture is more like creating a door, and inviting the audience in an old, yet new place — a place of poetic reverie.
