Tirana, Albania

I & II (caravan tour)

In Tirana, as part of ECHO III – For Memory’s Sake, the team first conducted ethnographic research on arranged marriages in Albania. This research informed a series of poetry nights where poets from various Balkan countries gathered to perform their works, reflecting on the theme of arranged marriages. These events fostered a rich exchange of cultural perspectives and personal narratives, bringing attention to the complexities of this heritage element through the power of poetry. Tirana also served as the last stop on the ECHO III Caravan tour, where all the artworks came together in a unique performance, presenting arranged marriages through various art forms.
