Stanislav Arabadjiev graduates the National Academy of Music “Professor Pancho
Vladigerov” in Sofia, Bulgaria (2014) with prof. Julia Tsenova – renowned Bulgarian
contemporary composer and Antoni Donchev – jazz pianist and conductor of the National
Radio Big Band. After graduating, Stanislav starts playing with many musicians including
Bulgarian jazz stars as Ventzislav Blagoev, Milcho Leviev, Hristo Yotsov, Mihail Yossifov,
Mitko Liolev, Camellia Todorova and artists from abroad Christiane Karam (USA), Joris Teepe
(USA, Holland), Conrad Herwig (USA), Ilire Avdiu (Kosovo) and many more.
He has participated in most of the jazz festivals in Bulgaria including the “International
Jazz Festival Bansko” and “A to Jazz Festival”. The collaboration between his trio and famous
Bulgarian jazz singer Vassil Petrov has received great success. In 2017 he did a tour with
Petar Salchev and Craig Bailey, a renowned saxophonist and a long-standing member of
Ray Charles’ band. In 2018 he presented Bulgaria with his trio at the Balkan jazz forum
“Balkan Jazz Showcase”, Tirana.
His latest work is composing and arranging music for old and contemporary silent
movies and presenting them with a full band at cineconcerts events. This work is part of an
educational music-and-cinema project, which is unique for the Bulgarian scene.
Stanislav’s love of music has also driven him to become a passionate teacher of music
theory and piano. He is a teacher in the National School of Music “Lyubomir Pipkov”, Sofia
and as such has won awards in music education.
Mr. Arabadjiev’s biggest musical influence is Bill Evans, however, during his
development as a performing artist he has been finding new influences from all around the
world, which have driven him on new and exciting musical paths.
