Jazz Concert | ECHO III For Memory’s Sake 16-19 February 2023

February is perceived as the month of love for a vast majority of people.
In this regard, the OPEN SPACE Foundation team has chosen this month to invite you to several events dedicated to the topic of arranged marriages, love and family in a Balkan context.
We start on 13.02.2023 at 19:00 in SOHO with a presentation of a documentary and a book with collected personal stories on the topic.
Free entrance.
We will continue with jazz concerts in which Greek, Bulgarian, Romanian and Albanian musicians meet on stage to create and present a collective intercultural experience based on testimonies, tradition and also young people’s artistic understanding of love, family and duty.

The music was composed and arranged by the avant-garde Bulgarian jazz musician Dimitar Loelev – saxophone, based on Bulgarian folk songs, some of them composed for the specific newlyweds.
