Sofia Gourgoulianni is a law graduate with a PhD from the University of Thessaly in Greece. She has been working as a project manager and proposal writer for european cultural projects and her research interests intersect culture and tourism. She is also active as a theater and screenplay writer. Her play "The Hunting Season" was presented at BIOS theater in Athens in November 2023, directed by Athina Hatziathanasiou. Her play "The end of treatment" was presented at theater Studio Oikonomou 3 in March 2024, directed by Nalia Zikou. Her play "The Souvlaki Project" was presented in Kamiros theater in May 2024 directed by Nalia Zikou. Her play "FAKE NEWS" was presented as a radio play directed by Kyriaki Spanou at the Theater of Thessaly in 2021. Her plays "IN MY HEAD" and “DAD” (honorable mention) in podcast format were selected in the podcast competition section of the Thessaloniki Film Festival in 2021 and 2022 directed by Nalia Zikou. Author of the texts for the performance "CATCH 1922" directed by Athena Hatziathanasiou as part of the program "All Greece a Culture" 2022. Writer of the play project "CELE-BODY" presented at the OFF-OFF FESTIVAL June 14 and 15, 2023. Screenwriter of 2 short films, "Stories without people" directed by Nikola Makris, 2020 and "Thessaly X4" directed by Nalia Zikou, 2021.
