Abstract

For the photographic series “Reality”, Marcella Papp went with her camera to one of the Roma districts in Sofia. There, she took a series of photos of front-yards and houses of poor families full of barefoot children. The photos depict the lives of these people, shown in their colourful and lively living environments, in a heartwarming and humane way. Marcella was very impressed by the warm, vivid colours of the walls, and by the clothes of the people which stood in contrast to the poor decor of the district.
